PrizePicks vs DraftKings

DraftKings has two products to compare. DK Pick6 is its pick'em game and the closest match: PrizePicks publishes set multipliers of 3x to 37.5x on a Power Play, while Pick6 pays a Base Payout plus Extra Winnings that depend on how other entries do. DraftKings Sportsbook prices each bet: two bets at -110 pay 3.64x, against 3x for a 2-pick Power Play.

The catch is where you are. PrizePicks lists Player Picks in 17 states where DraftKings Sportsbook isn't live, including California, Texas, Florida and Georgia. PickFinder, which publishes this page, shows PrizePicks, Pick6 and the Sportsbook on the same row, so you can compare them on any prop.

PrizePicks lineup vs a DraftKings parlay

What the same number of correct picks pays at a price of -110 per leg.

PrizePicks Power Play payouts against a sportsbook parlay at -110 per leg, with the win rate each needs per pick.
23x3.64x57.74%52.38%
36x6.96x55.03%52.38%
410x13.28x56.23%52.38%
520x25.36x54.93%52.38%
637.5x48.41x54.66%52.38%

-110 is an example price: sportsbook props are priced player by player, and same-game parlays are priced differently. A 2-pick Power Play pays the same as -137 per leg, so a book charging more than that for the same side pays less than PrizePicks.

Where DraftKings is better

  1. Sportsbook prices

Where it's live, a parlay at -110 per leg needs 52.38% per leg. A 2-pick Power Play needs 57.74% per pick.

  2. Room to win more in Pick6

DraftKings' example shows a 4 for 4 entry with a 10x Base Payout and 8x in Extra Winnings, for 18x. Extra Winnings aren't guaranteed.

  3. More bet types

A sportsbook also has game lines and single bets, not only lineups of player stats.

Where PrizePicks is better

  1. You know the payout up front

The multiplier is set before you submit. A Pick6 result can move with how other entries do.

  2. Flex and reverts

A Flex Play pays through 1 or 2 misses, and a DNP drops the lineup a level instead of ending it.

  3. Availability

PrizePicks lists Player Picks in New York, Oregon and Wyoming, where PickFinder's table doesn't show Pick6, and in California, Texas, Florida and Georgia, where DraftKings Sportsbook isn't live.
