Using match environment on a prop
Start with the index
Chelsea sits at 118, so its games run 18% above an average Premier League match across shots, shots on target and corners. That's more chances for every shots prop in the match.
Split for and against
Chelsea takes 13.9 shots and allows 12.6. A forward facing them gets the 12.6, and Manchester United's 18.6 a match is the most any team takes.
Check home and away
Fulham has the biggest split: 120 at home and 93 away. League-wide, 47% of matches go over 2.5 goals and 47% go over 9.5 corners. Chelsea's matches do it 67% and 78% of the time.

How this is counted
Uses team stats from 89 Premier League matches in the 2026-27 season, Aug 21, 2026 to Nov 1, 2026. Combined means both teams. The open game index is the average of three ratios against the league: combined shots, combined shots on target and combined corners per match, times 100. Goals are left out of the index because they swing so much on a few chances, and they get their own columns. Cards are yellows plus reds as OpticOdds stores them. Fouls come from each side's fouls won. Teams need 3 or more matches, and cup games are excluded. Only matches with full Opta coverage in OpticOdds are counted, so a match with missing stats never reads as zeros.
