Jordan Love's passing yards line for Green Bay at New England on Sunday, November 8, 2026 was 274.5 on PrizePicks, after a move down from 276.5 on November 5. He had averaged 280.75 yards this season and gone over in 5 of 8 games, so the line looked fair at first glance. A quarterback's yards, though, depend more on how many times he throws than on almost anything else. This guide shows how to research a passing yards prop from that angle.
With the Season filter on All, Love's chart starts with August: 18 yards at Pittsburgh, 56 at Denver and a DNP marker against Arizona. Starters barely play in the preseason, but those games still count, dragging his 10-game hit rate to 50% and his average to 232. Even the head-to-head column is misleading here. It shows one game against New England, 84 yards, and that was a preseason game too.
Switch Season to Regular Season and the chart becomes useful. His last 10 regular-season games show 6 overs, and his 2026 season shows 5 of 8 at 280.75 yards a game. The 10-game window now reaches back to December 2025, including a 77-yard game at Chicago in which he threw only 13 passes. The season column is the cleaner read.
The misses this season were 145 at the Jets, 197 at Tampa Bay and 274 at Detroit, which missed by half a yard. Close calls like that are why a two-yard line move matters.
Open the Pass Att tab with the same filter. Love threw 40, 13, 42, 29, 53, 30, 31, 41, 45 and 41 times in his last 10 regular-season games, and his attempts line for Sunday was 38.5. Now put the two charts side by side:
So the real question behind 274.5 is whether Green Bay throws 40 times in New England. Efficiency can carry a quarterback past his line on low volume, but it is much less reliable than volume.
The Odds tab is where you estimate volume. Green Bay was a 3-point underdog (+140 on the moneyline) with a total of 44.5, and the win predictor gave the Packers a 40% chance. Both teams were 5-3. Subtract the spread from the total and halve it, and the Packers' implied team total is about 21 points.
Two things follow. An underdog that falls behind throws more, which helps attempts and yards. But a total in the mid-40s is not a shootout, and a 21-point team total doesn't promise a big day. The most likely path to 274.5 is a game where Green Bay trails and has to keep throwing.
Prop History, next to Line Movement, shows the final score of each past game, and it backs that up. Green Bay's three losses this season were Love's three biggest volume games: 53 attempts in a 35-14 loss to Atlanta, 45 in a 20-17 loss at Detroit and 42 in a 39-22 loss at Minnesota. His three lowest-volume games were all wins, including a 31-7 win over Chicago where he only needed 31 throws.
Prop History also shows how the line has moved. His posted line was 231.5 on September 13, and he beat them by 31.5 yards on average, going over 6 of 8. The app has been catching up: Sunday's 274.5 is higher than any line he has had this season. Beating the early, low lines doesn't mean he will keep beating the new, higher one.
The Defense tab compares New England with every other team against quarterbacks. The Patriots were middle of the pack: 227.9 passing yards allowed a game (15th) and 20.4 completions (15th). Two details stand out. Over their last five games they ranked 24th in passing yards allowed, so they had been getting worse. And they ranked 22nd for the season, 29th over the last five, in longest completion allowed, meaning big plays had been getting through.
They also faced only 30.8 attempts a game (10th). Opposing quarterbacks have not been throwing much against New England, which cuts against a 40-attempt day. For the full table, the free NFL defense vs quarterbacks page ranks every team.
Foxborough in November can turn a passing prop, so check the Weather tab. Two days out, the forecast was 54°F and sunny with a 9 mph wind and 23 mph gusts. That grades Neutral for passing: the sustained wind was under 10 mph and the gusts under 25. If that changes by Sunday, see how weather affects NFL player props for what to adjust.
