NHL props by team

How these are picked

  1. Main lines

Every line is the main line at two or more sportsbooks, for a game that starts more than 10 minutes from now.

  2. Ranked by the market

Each line counts at the higher of its two implied probabilities, so an Under can rank as well as an Over, as long as a book offers that side. The number is the average across sportsbooks.

  3. Thin or odd prices stay out

A line needs prices from at least two separate sportsbooks, and anything above 80% is left out, because a number that high is usually a ladder price rather than a read on the line.

  4. One line per player

A player shows once, on their highest-ranked line.

FAQ

What are the best NHL player props today?

Right now, by implied probability: Kent Johnson Under 0.5 Power Play Points, 78% implied probability; Matthew Knies Under 0.5 Power Play Points, 77% implied probability; Nazem Kadri Under 0.5 Power Play Points, 76% implied probability. These change through the day as lines move.

What does implied probability mean here?

It is the average chance the sportsbooks give that side of the line. When a book prices both sides we remove its vig, so the two sides add up to 100%. When a book prices only one side we use its price as posted, with the vig still in it. PrizePicks and the other pick'em apps aren't part of the average. It is a market estimate, not a promise of a result.

What counts as a main line?

The number a sportsbook posts as its main line for that stat, not a rung on its alternate ladder. A line has to be the main line at two or more sportsbooks to make this list.

How often does this update?

About every 10 minutes. Lines that start within 10 minutes drop off, and the time at the top of the page shows the last update.
