PickFinder Team •Updated: Nov 06, 2026
College basketball has hundreds of teams, rosters that turn over every spring, and a schedule that mixes conference games with blowouts against much smaller schools. Props on PrizePicks and Underdog are posted for the bigger programs, and they reward bettors who check context the apps' numbers can't show. Here's how to research a college basketball prop in PickFinder, especially in November, when the season is only days old.
The college basketball props board works like the NBA one: every line with its hit rates, the moneyline and the same prop at the other apps and sportsbooks. Full-game props are the norm in college basketball, so that's what the board shows.
Take Moustapha Thiam's points line for Michigan at UConn on November 6, 2026. The line was 11.5, and the chart shows 8 overs in his last 10 games with a 16.1 average. Look at the dates and opponents, though: every game is from late January to March of last season, against Big 12 teams. Those games were played for his previous school, not Michigan.
That changes how much the hit rate is worth. A new team means a new role, new teammates and a new coach. His full 2025 season tells a more modest story: 58% over this line, 12.8 points a game. The late-season run that fills the last-10 window was his best stretch of the year.
Use the Team filter to split a player's games by team, and the Season filter to see last year in full. Until a player has 4 or 5 games with his new team, treat last season as a rough guide.
The night before the game, PrizePicks dropped Thiam from 11.5 to 10.5 at 9 p.m., then moved him back to 11.5 two hours later. Lines move when an app gets heavy action on one side or new information, and a move that reverses is worth a second look at the injury report. At 11.5, the sportsbook consensus at the top of the chart had the over at 49.4%, almost an even price. When a pick'em line sits right on the sportsbook price, the number alone gives you no edge, so the research has to carry the pick.
Star a line to add it to the Pick Builder, then export it to PrizePicks or Underdog. The college basketball research page lists every market we track, and our NBA guide covers injuries and defense vs position in more detail.
