CS2 on PrizePicks is Counter-Strike 2, the tactical shooter that replaced CS:GO in 2023. If you've searched for CSGO projections, they're the same lines under the new name. PrizePicks, Underdog and other apps post player props for pro CS2 matches almost every day, mostly kills and headshots over the first two maps of a series. Here's what those lines mean and how to research them.

What "Maps 1-2 Kills" means

Pro CS2 matches are usually best of three. A Maps 1-2 Kills line counts a player's kills on the first two maps of the series, added together. Because a best-of-three always reaches map 2, both maps are always played, even in a 2-0 sweep. A third map, if there is one, doesn't count toward a maps 1-2 line.

Each map is played to 13 rounds, with overtime if it's tied at 12-12. So a map can last as few as 13 rounds or go well past 24, and every extra round gives all ten players another chance at kills. That's why the same player can post 16 kills in one series and 37 in the next. Check each app's rules for how overtime rounds and map changes are graded.

What "Maps 1-2 Headshots" means

A headshot is a kill where the final shot hit the head. Headshot lines follow kills, but a player's headshot rate depends on his role and weapon. Riflers land a high share of their kills with headshots. AWPers, who play with the sniper rifle, kill with body shots, so their headshot numbers run much lower than their kills.

Techno maps 1-2 headshots chart: each bar split into map 1 and map 2, with high-round and blowout markers

Here's Techno of The MongolZ before his November 7, 2026 series against Natus Vincere. His headshots line was 15.5, and he went over in 7 of his last 10 series (averaging 17.5) and 4 of his last 5. His head-to-head record was closer: 55% over 11 series against Natus Vincere.

Headshots don't always follow kills. On November 2 against LGC, he cleared his kills line with 27 kills but finished on 15 headshots, just under 15.5. When a player has both lines posted, compare the two charts before picking one.

What moves a CS2 line

  • Rounds. Close, long maps mean more kills. PickFinder marks high-round and blowout maps on every chart.
  • The matchup. A heavy favorite tends to win maps quickly, which cuts rounds for both teams.
  • The maps. Teams pick maps they're good on, and some players do far better on certain maps.
  • Role. Entry fraggers and star riflers get the most kills; AWPers get fewer headshots.

Which apps post CS2 props
